Counseling Psychology is a programme that is specially designed to fulfil the demand for knowledge and skills in counseling psychology that will enable students to actively participate in counseling activities in a diverse, socio-economic, cultural, political, religious, and educational world. Counseling Psychology focuses on providing therapeutic treatments to clients who experience a wide variety of symptoms of emotional, social, vocational, educational, health-related, developmental and organizational nature. The objectives of the programme are to ensure an advanced level of knowledge about major approaches to counseling psychology; to provide training in counseling practice and develop skills for application in workplace, health, education; and to advance research, ethical and professional issues in counseling as a profession.
